Witchcraft, of one variety or another, has been with us ever since humans first banded together. Simple sorcery, such as setting out offerings to appease and gain the favour of spirits, or using charms for protection, can be found in almost all traditional societies. 

This fascinating and in-depth course explores the historical roots and development of the belief in witchcraft from prehistoric times right through to the modern day. It makes essential learning for those wishing to follow the Craft today in order to understand how and why modern witchcraft practices and beliefs have come about.

Assessment & Certificate:

This course has been graded as having a 'light' coursework load. Which equates to 0 - 1 hours of additional, independent work. Students will be required to submit coursework in the form of: course evaluation surveys and short end of module quizzes to test their knowledge of the information presented.

There are no deadlines for turning in coursework and students are free to work through each module at their own time and pace. A certificate of completion can be accessed in the final module, which can then be downloaded and printed.
