Course Description:

Whether you're just starting out or deepening a path already walked, this flexible, engaging course will guide you through the foundations of folk magick with warmth, wisdom, and practical know-how.

Guided by Elder High Priestess Wort Moon, who brings over 30 years of experience and down-to-earth humour to her teaching, this course blends cultural knowledge, personal exploration, and hands-on activities that will help you craft your own meaningful magickal practice.

By the end of this course, students will:

• Understand the foundations and cultural variations of folk magick across global traditions.

• Recognise and respectfully engage with tools, materials, spirits, and ancestral practices in folk magick.

• Develop practical skills in spellwork, divination, healing, and protective techniques rooted in folk traditions.

• Craft and charge personal charms, talismans, and magickal objects for specific intentions.

• Adapt traditional practices for modern, everyday use with ethical awareness and cultural sensitivity.

• Build confidence in creating a personalised magickal practice aligned with seasonal, ancestral, and spiritual rhythms.

Textbooks and other materials are not a requirement of this course. Links to additional resources and recommended book titles have been provided but are not essential for completion. 

Assessment & Certificate:

This course has been graded as having an 'lntense' coursework load. Which equates to 2 - 4 hours of additional, independent work. Students will be required to submit coursework in the form of: course evaluation surveys discussion posts, reflective work, research, written and practical assignments.

There are no deadlines for turning in coursework and students are free to work through each module at their own time and pace. A certificate of completion can be accessed in the final module, which can then be downloaded and printed.
