Course Description:

Beginning with the origins, history and exploration of the various forms of malevolent magick, the course moves on to the practical aspects of detection, removal, protection and creation of curses. The 'Curses & Malevolent Magick' course also explores the ethics, motivations, possible problems and risks involved with this fascinating subject, thus ensuring that students come away with a well rounded, and firmly grounded knowledge on which to build future practice.
By the end of this course, students will:
Understand the difference between a curse and other malevolent forms of magick.
Be able to use a range of methods to detect the presence of a curse and assess the severity of the threat.
Know a range of methods for removing curses.
Master techniques to prevent them from falling victim to malevolent magick.
Be able to create their own curses whilst understanding the risks and potential consequences.

Text books are not required in order to complete this course. Some assignments require the student to perform tasks that may call for the purchase or obtainment of basic magickal components or household supplies.
Assessment & Certificate:
This course has been graded as having a 'moderate' coursework load. Which equates to 1 - 2 hours of additional, independent work. Students will be required to submit coursework in the form of: surveys, quizzes, research tasks and written assignments.
There are no deadlines for turning in coursework and students are free to work through each module at their own time and pace. A certificate of completion can be accessed in the final module, which can then be downloaded and printed.
