Course Description

Complementary healers, such as practitioners of massage therapy, acupuncture, herbal medicine, Reiki, and other holistic modalities, often benefit from a foundational understanding of physiology and anatomy. Participants on this course will be guided through the key anatomy and physiology concepts relevant to complementary healers in order to gain knowledge that allows them to work more effectively and safely with clients, understanding how the body functions and how various treatments might interact with bodily systems. 

By the end of the course, student will have a greater understanding of the intricacies and interconnections of the human body and the sum of its parts. This awareness of anatomy and physiology will provide you with a good foundation to make optimal decisions on procedures, courses of treatment and providing health and wellbeing advice.

Assessment & Certificate:

This course has been graded as having a 'moderate' coursework load. Which equates to 1 - 2 hours of additional, independent work. Students will be required to submit coursework in the form of: course evaluation surveys and quizzes.

There are no deadlines for turning in coursework and students are free to work through each module at their own time and pace. A certificate of completion can be accessed in the final module, which can then be downloaded and printed.
