Course details:
Perfect for those at the beginning of the tarot journey, this short introductory course covers everything you need to know in order to master the basics and start reading confidently for yourself. This course covers the origins and development of the tarot, how to choose a deck and prepare for readings, along with methods for connecting, interpreting and deepening your understanding of the cards.
By the end of this course, students will:
Know about the origins and history of the cards and how they continue to develop and evolve over time.
Understand how tarot cards differ from oracle cards and how to go about selecting and preparing a deck.
Know the traditional meaning of the cards, and also how to read them intuitively in order to start performing simple readings.

Textbooks are not required for this course, but you will need access to a standard set of tarot cards such as the Smith Rider Waite deck.
Assessment & Certificate:
This course has been graded as having a 'moderate' coursework load. Which equates to 1 - 2 hours of additional, independent work. Students will be required to submit coursework in the form of: course evaluation surveys, short written assignments in addition to practical exercises to help them master essential techniques.
There are no deadlines for turning in coursework and students are free to work through each module at their own time and pace. A certificate of completion can be accessed in the final module, which can then be downloaded and printed.
